Cocktail Blues feeding on Silversides

North Side

Stripers: 
Stripers remain spread around Scorton’s Creek and Billingsgate in a variety of depths. Tube-and-worm continues to be the most consistent producer, with hoochies also taking fish.   

Dogfish: Dogfish are still being caught around Scorton’s Creek, especially while working deeper water.  

 
Tautog: Some tautogs are being caught around Sesuit Harbor in 20+ feet of water, with seaworms producing. 
Peanut Bunker: Plenty of peanut bunker are stacked around Barnstable Harbor, with birds diving over them, although there haven’t been many fish actively pushing the bait. 

South Side

Stripers: A few scattered reports of stripers around Monomoy, but nothing consistent. Schoolies are more available in the back bays and around moving water. Albie Snax and Slug-go's were working for Sam and Dylan last night.

Bluefish: Cocktail-size blues are scattered throughout Nantucket Sound. Look for diving birds from Hyannis down toward Falmouth, with occasional albies mixed in. The Bluefish have been feeding on silversides.  Small metals and Surface Erasers are working great.

Bonito: Bonito are spread around the Vineyard, with scattered fish also showing around Popponesset and Falmouth. People have been catching them with the Monomoy Tackle Darts and Talon Minnows as well as the YO-ZURI fingerlings and hydro monster shots. 

Albies: Over by the Vineyard it is pretty consistent with some mixed in with the blues and some reports over by Monomoy.

Scup:  Scup are abundant throughout the Sound and remain an easy option for bottom fishermen.

Fluke: Plenty of smaller fluke are scattered around, with keeper-size fish mixed in. 
Black Sea Bass: Sea bass are holding around shoals, rock, and other structure. The recreational limit drops from 4 fish to 2 fish on September 1st.
